We are very much ok here in Nyeri and every thing is going on well. The weather is ok although there is much rain. It.s raining every evening. The temperature is about 20C to 23C which is quite cold as we are used to 25C to 28C. All the kids are doing well and they are at home for April holiday until 7th day of May. They are really enjoying the holiday.

Today I am going to get 3 rabbits and we have agreed with the kids that they shall be owned by the smallest kids respectively. So we have each for Naftali, Maina and Imma. They are truly happy about it. Last week and this week, I have been working through the Children.s office, hospital and courts as usual and I am promising you that registration is very near. I hope they.ll do it very soon. I am every day in the Children.s office for that.

On Monday I was at the courts and there is a six months girl named MaryAnn Wanjiru who was committed to U.C.C. for three months. Her mother was jailed for three months for negligence. The kid had been staying in the hospital maternity (nursery) so since we have facility I think its OK and I might get the kid once the court order is ready. While I visited the girl in the ward, I almost shed tears finding another smart boy, Ajub who is about 1.5 years who had been in the same ward for the last 1 year and two months. The boy was brought to the hospital by neighbours after rescuing him from a pit latrine where he was thrown by her mother. I understand from the hospital social worker that her mother was jailed for 10 good years. I talked to the hospital social worker about the boy, Ajub and we agreed that he is going to write a report over that boy and give it to the Children.s Office who will present it to the courts. According to the way that place looks like it.s not the best place for the boy.

We have a birthday party for Kevin on 24th April 2007 and all the kids are eagerly waiting for that day.
